This year’s Light Up Winter event in Cromwell brought the community together for a relaxed evening of light displays, good food, and local creativity — and we were glad to be part of it.

Our Peer Mentors set up a Glow Golf competition to introduce people to our Turf Management course and create a space for local students to connect. The activity drew in over 150 children and adults, many of whom stopped to learn more about the course or just have a go at something a bit different.

The night’s standout moment came with the lantern release, where hundreds of lights slowly floated into the sky — simple, beautiful, and quietly memorable.

It was also great to see familiar faces throughout the evening. Students and staff dropped by the stall for a quick chat or just to check out what was going on, which helped make the event feel more personal.

Thanks to everyone who took part, and to our Peer Mentors for creating a space that was both fun and meaningful.
