What is OPSA?

OPSA is the Otago Polytechnic Student Association, run by students for students. Each year students are elected to form the OPSA Advisory Board for the following year. Together with staff, we provide our students with representation, welfare, advocacy, recreation, fun events and media. It's all about YOU!

Any positions not filled this year will open again in February 2026.

Please note: The only paid position is a nominal fortnightly payment for the President, who is expected to work at least 8 hours per week. Other board members are entitled to reimbursement for work they do throughout the year each semester.
