Study sustainable food systems and indigenous knowledge across India – fully funded by the Prime Minister's Scholarship Asia!
This immersive 7-week programme will provide hands-on experience in sustainable agriculture and food systems through fieldwork, cultural exchange, academic workshops, and an internship with a local sustainability organization.
You will gain practical insights into food technology, supply chain sustainability, and traditional farming practices while building cross-cultural skills and global leadership experience.
Travel dates: 3 January to 20 February 2026

This Scholarship is open to:
- New Zealand citizens and permanent residents enrolled at Otago Polytechnic in 2025
- 18 years or older
- Students with an 80% or higher attendance rate for enrolled courses at Otago Polytechnic

Selection will be based on:
- Student participation in and ties to indigenous groups
- Benefit to indigenous community from student engagement in the programme
- Positive outcomes for the applicant through programme engagement
- Alignment between the scholarship programme and the applicant's field of study
