Want to be the face of Otago Polytechnic?

We are looking for current international students to star in a new series of short videos that will be shared with prospective international students and education agents around the world. This is your chance to share your story, show off the city you call home, and help future students picture themselves at OP.

We know it’s exam season and your time is precious, so we have kept things simple. Each shoot takes only a few hours, and we will work around your schedule to find a time that suits you.

We are filming four videos throughout October and November, each capturing a different side of life at Otago Polytechnic:

• Student testimonial: share your own story, from why you chose OP and Dunedin to what your experience has meant for you.
• Highlights and Q&A with Andrew McSweeney: join OP’s chief executive for a look back at the year’s highlights and a chance to put your questions to him directly.
• Dunedin slang dictionary: Dunedin and New Zealand have a language all of their own. Help us explain the words and phrases that new arrivals are bound to hear.
• Five scenic walks near campus: show future students the best spots to clear their heads, from coastal tracks to city views, all within easy reach of campus.

You don’t need to be a confident speaker or have any experience in front of a camera. We’re looking for real students with genuine experiences, and people who can speak honestly about their time here and what studying at OP has meant for them.

As a thank you for your time, every student who takes part will receive a Prezzy card.

If you would like to be involved, or have a favourite walk or Dunedin phrase to suggest, get in touch with the International team and we will be in touch to find a time that works around your exams.

If you are interested in getting involved, or would like more information before committing, email Cameron.JamesPirie@op.ac.nz. We would love to hear from you!
