NEED: The Dunedin City Council is considering whether three-wheeler bikes should be added to the city’s bike library for older people to borrow and use, but they need to know whether there would be demand for the three-wheelers.

CAPABILITIES: NEEDS ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION

SOLUTION: We are running education sessions following trials where South Dunedin residents aged 65+ can try out the three-wheeler bikes. We are also giving participants a questionnaire about the barriers to cycling and how the City Council can help remove those barriers.

IMPACT: Once the project is completed the City Council will evaluate whether there is sufficient demand to add three-wheeler bikes to the city's bike library.
